DLI Welcomes Members of Heartland Fabricare Association

New organization formed as regional drycleaning groups merge

LAUREL, Md. — The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) recently welcomed members of the newly formed Heartland Fabricare Association (HFA) to its ranks. The HFA was formed from the merger of the Illinois Professional Drycleaners Association, Mid-West Drycleaning & Laundry Association and the Wisconsin Fabricare Association (WFI), along with cleaners from Minnesota.

As part of this transition, all members of the former individual associations are now part of HFA, as well as DLI.

“This is a win-win for everyone,” says DLI Director of Membership Jon Meijer of the value the merger brings to members. “HFA will deliver more educational opportunities, increase legislative and regulatory advocacy, and improve communication to better serve our members.”

“With the industry evolving, consolidating our resources allows us to eliminate duplication of efforts and offer more robust educational programs throughout the region,” says HFA Executive Director Sue Kratz.

“This has been a long time coming,” says Tim Day of Classic Cleaners in Indianapolis. “By creating one large group, the new Heartland Fabricare Association will provide expanded educational opportunities, host meet-and-greets and organize other valuable events in your area.”
